Q: Which is the better used car, 2007 Kia Spectra or 2001 Volkswagen Jetta?

Also, Safety is most important to me, Reliability is a close second, fuel efficiency I guess would be third, along with any other important factors I should consider.

Q: Can I put 20" rims on my 2007 kia spectra ex, and if i cant what is the biggest size i can put on it?
A: Not without modification. An 18" wheel would get fitted with a 215-35 R 18 tire. This tire is ultra low in profile.
Any larger rim is going to require a tire that doesn't exist if you intend for your speedometer to work correctly. If you go larger you'll also run into issues with the fit and if the rim/tire combo rubs or interferes with the steering.
If 20's are absolutely a must you could look into raising your ride and or opening up the wheel wells a bit like one of the donks from the deep south.
Q: My tmps sensor light stays lit on my Kia Spectra 2007. Any suggestions as to what is causing this?
I meant tpms(tire pressure monitoring system).
A: I assume you have checked the tire pressures? Make sure they are correct to the owners manual spec. Also have you changed anything with the tires? Rotate, or the tires themselves? This will cause it to stay on, if this is the case it has to be reset/relearn, either at the dealer, or most garages are equipped to do this now.
Q: 2007 Kia Spectra EX for 9000, good deal?
I was looking to buy a new car. I found this car with a Honda dealer. It has 35,000 miles on it. I knew it was a rental car before I did a test drive. But as long as it is around that miles I don't really care.
I want to know if the car is a good deal? or just getting a junk car to throw away after 3-4 years.
My parent concern is whether the kia is going to have more complaints once it hits 50-75K miles.
I have seen very mixed reviews. Some poeple either really seem to like it...or just hates it very much.

A: It all depends on yoru down payment & length of lease. Don't lease a Kia. The car devalues so fast that the resale really sux. The Honda would be a much better choice. Not to mention it's a far more reliable car. And it loox cool. But, $325 to $400 on a fully loaded Honda for 36 months wouldn't be a bad deal. But, they will want a deposit equal to the 1st payment, then the 1st payment itself, plus some fees related to your license tags etc... So be ready to slap down a grand or a little more than a grand. Q: Why is there a strange smell coming from my cars vents?
I just bought a 2007 Kia Spectra in March. Since it started getting warmer, I've had to cut on the A/C. When i cut on the A/C everything is fine, but when I have it just blowing regular cool air (when i turn off the MAX A/C button) I get this foul smell. It smells like something is rotting in the A/C.
Kia charges a lot just to have the car looked at and I'm not sure if this smell is covered under my limited warranty. Is this normal for when your first start the A/C? Or should i just get it checked out?
I've never had an interest with cars so I don't know anything. Where should I look?
A: Look under your hood. It is quite possible that something literally crawled in there and died. I have heard of animals creating nests in car engines and then dying... who knows. If you need to know what's covered, ask kia.
Q: How can I give my car a floor room shine?
I just bought a 2007 KIA Spectra. It's beige, it's really nice, and I want it to look great all the time. How can I make it look like it just came out of the show room? I'm waxing it with McGuire's wax now, but it doesn't gleem with a mirror reflection. What should I do?

McGuire's has 3 products (a cleaner, a polish, & a wax) that they call their "Deep Crystal System". I know of someone who uses it on his motorcycle. He also uses the step 3, the carnuba wax, on everything including the windscreen, fairing, metal, and the enameled parts of the motor, and it all looks great

Q: Can two different headlights cause a problem?
Have a 2007 Kia Spectra EX (not sure if it matters...) and just replaced a (burnt out?) headlight. At first, I had PIAAs in, the left side burnt out so I replaced it with a Silverstar. Turned on the car, both the Silverstar and remaining PIAA were both working. Turned on the car to leave and saw that the remaining PIAA was burnt out. Just wondering if the two different brands caused a burn out.

Q: had a car accident the air bags didnt come off, should i sue the car company?
i was hit in the back of my car a kia spectra 2007 then i hit the one in front of me. the front of my car was totally wrecked.
my air bag didnt come off, should i or can i sue kia?
my chest ws injured because of the seat belt!. got bruises and a lot of pain..
the accident happened in the highway, where usually cars run over 50 mph
A: Why? If you didn't hit at the angle and speed they were meant to go off, then they wouldn't go off. They are precise in the setting, because if you are moving at any kind of sideways angle, even a very small one, the air bag can do worse injury than the one it is meant to protect. You don't mention being injured yourself, but I suggest the angle and strength of the impact weren't such to set them off.

I suggest if the seat belt injured your chest it may not have been worn properly, it was likely a little loose, or not in the proper place, and/or, as hinted at in my original answer, your vehicle hit at an angle. The air bag is a supplemental restraint, and doesn't stop the body motion it stops the head. In my serious accident, in a car without air bags, my neck was broken in 3 places because I hit at an angle and my body was jerked sideways. If an air bag had gone off it might have killed me. I did not get so much as a bruise on my chest, and my pelvis, while everything was shaken up and I ended up constipated, suffered no serious or permanent damage.
Q: Dilemma!!! Should I work full time or stay part time?
I am 20 yrs old. I am currently working for a credit union part time 7-1pm m-fri and 8-30-12 on Sat. I go to school and take about 2 classes. There may be a position open for me to work full time 9-5 m-th and 9-6 on fridays. I just bought a 2007 kia spectra. I can make my payment working part time but if i work full time i will make more money-of course. With that said i can save more and move out faster. I can also buy stuff that i need for class. Would this be too much pressure by me taking 2 classes from 5*30-8*20 Monday and Wednesday? Im not going to drop out because i really want my degree. Im not sure what category this goes under.
A: If you get the opportunity to go full time? Take it and keep up with your school courses. The additional money and benefits will be worth it.
A lot of people do this taking a lot more classes then you are.
