My wife has a 2002 Kia Spectra that she doesn't want to part with so i'm doing some work on it and I need to know where I can get those little screws that Kia has so intelligently put on the wheel rotors and drums to hold them on. I rounded the head off of one getting it off. Thanx in advance.

Q: 2002 Kia Spectra with engine problem no compression in 2 and 3 ?
The timing belt broke while idling and after carefully aligning the 2 cam sprockets and crank with the marks and then replacing, the engine ran poorly so I did a comp. check and found 0 in 2 and 3 and 210 - 215 in 1 and 4, also the plugs from 2&3 are clean but wet with gas while 1&4 are sooty. (new plugs) Anyone have any ideas? It is a 1.8 T8 DOC
A: bent valves on 2 and 3. Have head reworked. Common problem when a timing belt breaks.

My husband and I saw this ad in cars.com its sold by an individual seller, has 3900k miles on it and is sold for $5,400 but we haggle it down to $4,900. The interior of the cars looks brand new, the outside paint is ok too but theres some paint chips on the bumper but you would not notice it if you won't look closely. I'ts automatic and has power door locks and generally we are so far happy with it.
Is there any of you who owned 2002 kia spectra too. How do you rate the car? Did you have any problem with this car? Do you think we made a good deal?

A: you got a good deal on that car,take care of it,and it will last you a really long time,they all have some problems with the KIA,s they have the ten year warranty on them so use it if you need to,most of the ones i see in the shop hold up really well,there like any other car though if you neglect it it will cause you problems,i even thought about buying my wife one,she really likes the looks of them a lot,we still haven't decided yet though,but you got a good deal,that car should lats you a while,good luck with it.
Q: Kia Spectra 2002 Rear Tailight?
Does any one know how to change the light bulbs on a Kia Spectra 2002? I removed two screws that seems to be the only thing holding the lights to the frame but it still won't come off. And I look behind this paneling which I assume is for changing the lights but there doesn't seem to be access to the light bulbs? Help someone. Thanks.
Thanks I finally figured it out. Aside from the two very visible screws there are two nuts that must be taken off as well from the two hidden screws. Once those came off, it just fell into my hands.
A: In specific, I dont know the answer. Maybe you can buy a manual, or find one at a local library.
It is becoming more and more normal that taillights are replaced from inside the automobile trunk, or boot. You may have to peel back some upholstery or lining to see if this is the case. You may be able to simply remove the lamp from the inside of the car, but sometimes you have to almost dismantle and remove the taillight
assembly.
Check it out.
Older cars commonly provided for taillamp changes from the outside, simply by removing a couple of screws and prying off the lens. This is becoming less common.

I've heard mixed things about Kia's, usually bad I guess, but this seems like a steal for 85,000 miles. I'm sure it'll last at least another 50K, what do you think?
