Q: when should i have the tires rotated?
I have a 2005 KIA Sorento. When should I have the tires rotated?

A: You can actually refer to your owners manual and it should tell you what the manufacturer recommends. Most tire manufacturers recommend rotations somewhere between 5 and 7 thousand miles. We follow this recommendation and inform our customers to rotate their tires at 5 to 7k. The best way we have to remind customers is to have them get on a schedule with their oil changes. If they change oil every 3k then we suggest they rotate their tires every other oil change which means their tires get rotated every 6k. There are alot of varied answers here and some of them are not very good. Rotations are important for many reasons. Rotation allows inspection of tire condition and wear patterns as well as helping to maintain proper inflation pressure. Not rotating your tires can lead to irregular wear patterns that can cause ride disturbance (vibration) or road noise issues. Rotating your tires on a regular basis can help to eliminate or alleviate some irregular wear. If your car has bad suspension parts or the alignment is out of specs this may not be the case. Having a rotation done on a regular basis should help to catch any issues before they become a major problem. If you have already replaced the original tires most places that sell tires will do the rotation for free. Hope this helps.

Q: CAR HELP!! questions about miles on it?
I was just looking through some cars for my daughter and saw a 2005 Kia Sorento for a really great price but it has 50K miles on it... are Kia's still good when they reach that high for miles and is it worth it or would i have to be paying for repairs all the time? THANKS!

A: Kia is one car I would say avoid most of the time you have a $800 dollar repair coming at 60000 miles for the timing belt on the Kia's. If its only got 50000 miles why is it a great price??

Q: Quality car audio system?
I own a 2005 KIA Sorento. What is medium to high end systems? Diamond?Bose?

A: I have always had really good luck with Pioneer. Did Kia offer a better stereo in any of their other cars? I just ask because the upgraded JBL in my Toyota is one of the best sounding factory stereos I have ever had. I planned to replace the factory system as soon as I got it, but when I heard it, I just left it in place. I think if I added a sub, it would be as good as a lot of the expensive aftermarket systems I have heard.

Q: where is the oil filter?
on a 2005 kia sorento it doesnt show one in the manual nope not there .. the manual says there isnt one .. but how can there not be one? the manual says its filter less. but when i get an oil change at the dealer they charge me for one.

A: Remove the plastic rock guard under the front of the engine - 5 bolts. Filter is then visible on left side, looking up at the engine- facing forwards. It's a bit tight and messy getting it out. I pull straight down and force it through. You can also move it to the left where there's a bit more room. Spills more oil though. Depends a bit on the filter "rim" where it contacts the mount.

Q: Does any know of any Good SUVS?
i just purchased a 2005 Chevy Equinox with 38k miles and i hate it it is a LEMON!!!! i am have a lawyer fighting the manufacturer on this car, but once all is said and done i am going to have to buy a different car. I am looking at a Kia Sorento, but i just dont know. Does any one know of any good all around SUVS?

A: what is wrong with you.. after the horrible reviews on the equinox u go out and buy it.. if u want an suv thats decent and lasts long go buy a honda CRV or a toyota Rav 4.. if u got deep pockets or more money buy urself a Acura RDX its not that expensive.. its like 30 grand i think.. other options include ford escape (good one), Mazda CX-7 (its not bad and its turbocharged), Subaru Forester (reliable, fast, handles well, good overall).. thats bout it.. There r like upscale cars such as BMW X3 or the Mercedes M class possibly but those r expensive near 45 grand or higher..
