Q: for some reason my radio got stuck. How do i reset the radio and what's the security code?
I have got a Kia Sephia 1997. thanks in advance

A: one way to reset the radio it to take the positive battery terminal off for about 10 seconds,then you need the reset code which should be on top of the radio,it sucks becasue you have to take the radio out to see what it is,or like others have said you can call the dealership but im not positive they will have the info you need.make sure after you get it you write it in your owners manual and in a few other places you will remember.i have had to do this to my girlfriends car about 4 times.

Q: Engine Code Help, no power, stalling exc.?
Alright. My car has been experiencing some issues. Its a 1997 Kia Sephia, and I just did a lot of maitenence on it being that I was having a lot of problems but I'm still having issues. Ok I changed both 02 sensors, performed vaccum leak down tests, CAT was replaced, PCV valve, air filter, fuel filter, spark plug wires, spark plugs, cap&rotor, ignition module, and I'm still getting the same symptoms. The car will sometimes stall when I come to a stop, or even while im driving at real slow speeds sometimes. Idle is usually kinda sloppy, and while I'm driving it has barely any power until I floor it, and still really is lacking a lot of power then, it also backfires, and hesitates ALOT! I am also getting a p0170 code which means fuel trim malfunction. Weird code because it doens't tell you if its rich, or lean, just a malfunction. As you can see I did the cheapest first, filters and such, and started moving toward important parts thinking that it would slowly lead me to the problem, but it hasn't. I am thinking the EGR valve, or the ECU at this point. Anyone have any idea?

This will be my first time buying a car. Which car should i get that is more dependent and just an overall good car. 2000 Kia Sephia 1999 Kia Sportage 1998 Ford Escort SE 1997 Ford taurus GL Sedan All of these cars are used and are in good condition.

A: The '98 Escort, out of all of them. Kia...stay away from the earlier models. The models before 2005 or so are notorious lemons. Ford products...well, you realize that whatever you're paying for it should be a fraction of what it was new...these cars you're looking at are 10 and 11 years old...and that you shouldn't expect to get more than 3 or 4 years out of them, if you're lucky, right? You sure you don't want to look at used Hondas or Toyotas? You could get 300K out of one of those before they die. Kia is just...blecch, and Ford...meh. I would hate to see your first time purchase of a car be a dog.

A: O,K, So this is the list of cars your looking at. The 2000 and 1999 kia. Run away from. The 1999 plymouth, RUN FASTER!!! Trust me, Your asking for truble with thease cars. The 1998 ford taurus is a good car. Is it a 4 or 6 engine. The 1997 ford escort is good. I would go for this one. Good MPG. Hpoe this helps.

A: 5. Escort 4. Malibu 3. Sephia 2. Avenger 1. Neon The Escort is by far the best of that group if its been taken care of. They were reliable and got excellent mileage.

A: Jesus those are some terrible cars. 1995 Dodge Neon - 2 1997 Chevy Malibu - 3 1998 Ford Escort - 2 1998 Dodge Avenger - 3 2000 Kia Sephia -1 If you want me to rate them from best to worst? I don't think I can do it. They are all so terrible that the thought of driving any one of them makes me want to puke. If you told me that I had to pick one or you would shoot me, I would probably take the Avenger.

Q: White Smoke Coming From The Exhaust Of My 1997 Kia Sephia After Two New Head Gaskets?
We bought a 1997 Kia Sephia RS last year. It has recently been blowing white smoke from the exhaust pipes..which we obviously thought was either the valve seals or a blown head gasket. We have replaced both of these things and yet the smoke keeps coming out constantly for about 30 minutes and then it lightens up until you rev the engine. We have done a compression check and we have 165 -170 PSI. We are unsure of the air/fuel mixture as we thought that was computerized and are not sure how to check this. The car runs smooth other than the smoke. The smoke smells rich... but no oil smell. What else could be the problem?

A: i own a repair shop,and when they did the heads on it they should have replaced the 0-2 sensor also,,this will make it tun rich on fuel,,the sensor got messes up probably from it running bad,and it may need to be replace,if they didn't put a new one in it,,id check my repair bill and see if it does have a new one in it,,if not i think that will fix your problem with it,,the moisture that was going through the pipe before is what ruined the 0-2 sensor to start with,,good luck,i hope this helps you.
