A: Probably under the bonnet
Q: My A/C in my 2002 Kia Sedona is not working!?
I want to know if it is possible for me to recharge the system myself with a kit. If not, how much would it be to have a mechanic do it for me?
How do you find the leak?
A: You need to change the filter in your Kia first. It costs about 15 bucks at the auto parts shop nearest you. Then, if something's really wrong with your A/C, then maybe get a mechanic at your dealership to check it out. It shouldn't cost more than about $150 for the total repairs, to be on the safe side. A filter change, though, you can do by yourself without labor costs. Check your oil, too. Change it if necessary. Hope this helps.

Q: i have a 2002 kia sedona an when it rains it wont run.?
when it rains or snows my sedona will just shut off while i am driving. If i let it sit for 5 or 10 mins. it will start again and then go maybe a block and shut off again. I have had it check out by two different mechanics and they cant seem to tell me whats wrong. any advice on what is maybe causing my car to do this? thank you
A: most likely you need new plug wires and possibly a new distributer try starting the car on a dry day and get a spray bottle with water in it and spray down the plug wires with the water if the car stalls there is your problem. if it is still running try spraying the distributer (box that the plug wires are plugged into. and see if that causes the car to stall

Q: 2002 Kia Sedona starts, shifts but will only go about 10mph even if I floor the gas?
A: Your first problem is owning a Kia! Not a quality car. In fact, I wouldn't even drive one for fear of my life. You're better off getting an older model of a better quality car rather than putting money into your kia, because it sounds like the transmission could be shot, and something else will go wrong with it soon anyhow. Check out older models of Volkswagons, Volvos, Saabs, Oldsmobiles, or pretty much anything that's not a Kia.

web sight and you should be able to find what you are looking for there
Q: 2002 kia sedona is a good minivan to buy ?
A: It depends on your definition of good. It's inexpensive, but ranks lower than many others in both safety and reliability. Most Kias of any model spend a lot of time hanging out with the mechanic. I would suggest before you buy one that you get a list of all recalls and service/maintenance announcements and make sure this one has had all of it's problems addressed.
Q: wherer is the thermostat on a 2002 kia sedona located?

Q: Fuel pump on 2002 Kia Sedona?
Our Sedona would stall occassionally at stop signs and stop lights.. most often when I would push the gas pedal but sometimes it would try and stall when I would be driving.
We decided to replace the internal fuel filter because the van has 69000 miles and maintenance manual says 50,000. After putting everything together the van will not start. Spent the day doing basic troubleshooting.. pressure checks, etc. We think it is the fuel pressure regulator. Is there any way to know for sure.
The fuel pump has power, pumps fuel and is hooked up correctly. We are at a loss as to what it could be.
A: you probally just need a tune up (new plugs and wires).
Q: 2002 Kia Sedona 3.5 L po175 bank 2 too rich, MAF?
A: did you have the vehicles computer scanned to get that dtc?
if so by who, and what kind of scanner did they use.
most quality scanners will pinpoint why the dtc(diagnostic trouble code) was set. it could be a defective or lazy o2 sensor(oxygen sensor) or a defective catalytic converter, common on newer kia vehicles. how many miles? if under 80,000 take to dealer it should be under federal emissions warranty or factory warranty.
Q: My 2002 Kia Sedona is acting REALLY weird?
A few days ago my battery and parking brake light came on. Then my headlights went out (brights and driving lights) Every now and then it beeps like I have left the keys in and opened the door. This is all when I am driving, but other than this it drives fine.
Yesterday when I pushed the brake, the radio went off, and when I let off the brake the radio came back on.
A friend of mine tested the battery and it was at 11 ( he said it should be at 14)
Could this be the alternator, or something else??
A: Dirty, corroded, or loose battery cables at the battery.
Q: My 2002 KIA sedona tail lights stopped working, replaced all bulbs and fuses?
My mechanic friend told me when he turned them on it blew the fuse so i needed a new light switch. He said he didn't want to be tresponcible for the cost of the part so he sent me to the dealer. Like he told me, I asked them to put in the switch. I waited over 3 weeks and paid over $400 to have that done. My tail lights still don't work!! and since i didn't pay the dealer to diagnose the problem I'm out of luck, and out of money. I work nights, and need to have someone drive me 100 miles round trip. HELP What could this be? Is my mechanic friend incompetent?
A: When it comes to electrical issues, your mechanic friend should have checked for shorts and bad grounds before coming up with the light switch. If your headlights and front parking lights were working, the switch was good. Besides, faulty switches usually don't blow fuses. First, try a new fuse. You could have gotten a defective one. Sometimes it can be difficult finding a wiring problem. Remove all the tail light bulbs. Turn on the lights and see if the fuse blows. If it does, trace every wire from the back to the front until you find an exposed wire. If the fuse doesn't blow, replace one bulb and turn the lights on. Keep doing this one bulb at a time until the fuse blows. Trace the wire from that bulb to find the problem.
